GTA 6 Characters: Jason, Lucia and every confirmed character

The main characters: Jason and Lucia

GTA 6 tells the story of two people. According to Rockstar, both know the deck is stacked against them. When a supposedly easy score goes wrong, they end up in a conspiracy that stretches across the whole state of Leonida and have to rely on each other more than ever.

Jason Duval

Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a rough childhood he joined the Army, then ended up in the Leonida Keys doing what he does best: working for local drug runners. Rockstar hints that it might be time for something new.

• Home: Brian Heder lets him live rent-free in one of his houses. In return, Jason helps collect money around town.
• Gear: Rockstar names his pistol, a Girardi ES9, and his pickup, a Vapid Ganado. More on the GTA 6 vehicles list.
• Lucia: Meeting her, according to Rockstar, could be the best or the worst thing that ever happened to him.

Lucia Caminos

Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk. Fighting for her family landed her in prison, the Leonida Penitentiary. She got out, according to Rockstar, through sheer luck. Since then she only wants to make smart decisions.

• Goal: She wants the good life her mother has dreamed of since their days together in Liberty City, and she's taking matters into her own hands.
• Gear: Rockstar names her pistol, a Klose K17.
• Jason: A life with him, according to Rockstar, could be her way out.

Other characters

Rockstar introduces these characters on the official website alongside Jason and Lucia. Whether you play missions with them or go up against them, Rockstar doesn't say.

Cal Hampton

Cal is Jason's friend and, like him, works for Brian Heder. He's most comfortable at home, listening in on Coast Guard radio with a few beers and private browser tabs. His taste for conspiracy theories fits right in. Rockstar describes him as content with his life, while Jason has bigger plans. The official images show him with Jason in a bar, playing mini golf and in the pool.

Boobie Ike

Boobie is, according to Rockstar, a Vice City legend. He turned his time on the streets into a legitimate empire: real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. He smiles until it comes to business. Closest to his heart is the record label Only Raw Records, which he runs with Dre'Quan. What's still missing is a hit.

Dre'Quan Priest

Dre'Quan was always more businessman than gangster. He dealt on the streets to get by, but his goal was always music. Until now he's been booking acts for Boobie's strip club. Since signing Real Dimez, he has his eye on the whole Vice City scene.

Real Dimez

Real Dimez are two women: Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school. They used to rob local dealers. Today they turn that into money, with rap songs and a constant presence on social media. An early hit with the rapper DWNPLY took them to the top. Five years and a lot of trouble later, they're signed to Only Raw Records.

Raul Bautista

Raul is an experienced bank robber: confident, charming and cunning. He's always on the lookout for talent willing to take big risks for big scores. According to Rockstar, his recklessness raises the stakes with every job, until at some point his crew has to double down or walk away. Rockstar doesn't tie him to a location.

Brian Heder

Brian is a drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. He still moves product through his boat business, together with his third wife Lori, and leaves the dirty work to others these days. Rockstar describes him like this: he looks like a beach bum and moves like a great white shark.

Who else gets a mention

These names show up in the official texts without an introduction of their own.

• Lori: Brian's third wife. According to Rockstar, Jason is expected to drop by for her sangria now and then.
• Wyman: An eccentric car collector and fixer. The Classic Car Collection job in the Ultimate Edition comes from him. More on the GTA 6 collectibles page.
• Lucia's parents: Her father taught her to fight; her mother has dreamed of the good life since Liberty City. Rockstar doesn't give their names.
• DWNPLY: A local rapper Real Dimez had their first hit with.
• PTT Youngin$: A gang from Southside Vice City. In the Ultimate Edition you raid their compound.
• The biker gang of Ambrosia: According to Rockstar, the sugar refinery provides the jobs and the biker gang almost everything else. More on Ambrosia.
• Macca the Gator: Not a person but the character from a popular TV show in Leonida.
• Tommy Vercetti: The protagonist of GTA: Vice City has only shown up as a name so far. More on the GTA 6 Easter eggs page.

How the characters are connected

Three groups emerge from the official texts.

• The Keys: Jason and Cal work for Brian Heder. Jason also lives in one of Brian's houses.
• The music business in Vice City: Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest run Only Raw Records. Real Dimez are signed there. What's confirmed about music in the game is on the GTA 6 radio stations list.
• The bank robbers: Raul Bautista leads a crew. Who's in it isn't in his text.

How Jason and Lucia get mixed up with the Vice City crowd and with Raul, Rockstar hasn't revealed yet.
