Radio in GTA 6: what's confirmed
Radio stations have always been part of the GTA series. For GTA 6, Rockstar promises the biggest and broadest selection yet, from classic rock to talk radio. On October 8, 2026, Rockstar introduced the first six stations with names and hosts.
- Podcasts: For the first time in the series there are on-demand podcasts, in addition to regular radio.
- Listening on foot: Radio and podcasts don't just play in vehicles. Jason and Lucia also listen on the go, through headphones on their phones. The headphones are new, according to Rockstar.
- Previews: Each of the six stations has a preview on the official website.
The six confirmed radio stations
The descriptions come from Rockstar. Which songs play on which station isn't known yet.
Cocoteo FM
Leonida's station for modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata. Rockstar names bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton and describes the station as the party that never ends.
Back Country Radio
Country of the rebellious kind, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne. According to Rockstar, the station can be heard in the Grassrivers, in Port Gellhorn and beyond. Also on board is Mud Dog Mike: roving reporter, swamp meteorologist and Delta's not-so-secret lover. He reports from the driver's seat of his airboat in the Grassrivers.
AfroBank FM
African music with Burna and Palmsy. According to Rockstar, the lineup ranges from 20th-century classics and undiscovered gems to current styles like amapiano and 3-step.
The Chamber 106.6
The metal station, hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. Rockstar promises timeless metal anthems from several decades and points to Leonida's deep metal roots.
Flash FM
Pop with Robyn and Alex. Rockstar calls Flash FM a Vice City institution. A station with this name already existed in GTA: Vice City in 2002. More on the GTA 6 Easter eggs page.
Dirty South Classics
Rap and hip-hop classics from the American South, hosted by Trick and Trina. According to Rockstar, nobody represents Leonida and the South like those two.
Rockstar only gives the hosts' first names or stage names. Whether well-known musicians are behind them, the announcement doesn't say.
The soundtrack: Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album
Besides the radio there's an official album. It's being made with Atlantic Records and comes out on November 19, 2026, the same day as the game.
- Size: 34 new songs by artists from a wide range of genres.
- Digital: The album can be pre-saved on the major streaming services.
- Vinyl and CD: Both formats are available for pre-order. Three editions are exclusive to the album website: a limited liquid-filled record, a splatter record and a CD in the classic jewel case. Individual retailers carry further color variants with their own artwork.

Music in the story
Music also plays a part with the characters. Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest run the label Only Raw Records in Vice City. Signed there is the rap duo Real Dimez, who had their first hit with the rapper DWNPLY. What Rockstar says about them is on the GTA 6 characters page.
Whether songs by these characters play on the radio, Rockstar doesn't say.
What's still open
- The complete list of stations. Rockstar mentions classic rock and talk radio without naming stations.
- The stations' tracklists.
- Whether the album's songs also play in the game.
- Which podcasts there are and who hosts them.
- How the dynamic background music works, the so-called score. Rockstar has announced details on that.
We don't use leaks as sources. Everything here can be checked at Rockstar.
As of today: All details come from Rockstar's announcements before release. Which stations and songs play in the finished game will only be known from November 19, 2026.
